My first Mentor Series Photo Trek to Sedona, AZ, was a huge success! It exceeded all of my expectations! I don't think there is a better way to improve you photographic skills and knowledge than spending 3 days with top notch mentors and a great group of people with the same goal of becoming better at what they love to do.
It doesn't matter what level you are, beginner or advanced, or what kind of camera you use, it would be impossible to come away from one of these treks without a better understanding of how to get the most from your camera as well as new skills to take your photography to the next level. I can't wait to sign up for my next Mentor Series photo trek. After such a great experience, I am proud to call myself a "Trekkie!""
I can't say enough good things about my recent trek to New Zealand. It was very well organized with plenty of planned shoots at beautiful vistas as well as time for spontaneous fun and photography lessons. Mentor Reed Hoffmann did an outstanding job of answering all our questions and sharing his wealth of knowledge on everything from techie tips on SD versus CF cards to how to get the best image of the southern night sky. It was an incredible vacation slash learning experience that I won't ever forget. What I liked best was how everyone in the group was willing to share their knowledge and expertise to help other trekkers make great images. I would recommend the Nikon Mentor Series Treks to anyone who is interested in photography at any level.

The Iceland trek was very well organized. It gave us the opportunity to encounter both beautiful vistas and interesting people. We had an excellent guide and driver. The locations were well chosen and made for a great learning experience. Thanks for a wonderful trek.

I want to say this was one of the most fun trips I've ever taken......8 flights in 18 days, miles on the bus and many many stairs! I enjoyed every minute! I want to thank Michelle from the Mentor Series, Bill, Corey & Reed, the Nikon pros and all the guides. I learned so much from the mentors. Too all my fellow trekkers; it was awesome reconnecting and make new ones! Pandas and the Wall will forever be the best moments!

Thank you again for a wonderful trek. We both had so much fun. After spending 2 weeks trying the D7000, I was sad to have to package it so we can return it. But Tim just surprised me by saying that he just ordered one. :D. I can't wait to see everyone and try out my new camera on the China 2012 trek.

I wanted to thank you for all the work you put into the Hawaii trek. I had SUCH a good time – my coworkers are getting tired of hearing about it! I can’t believe how much we did in only a week. I loved the zip lining, and the airplane and the sunset cruise. Oh, and the luau too. And learning some stuff, too, of course! Thanks again and I hope to see you on a trek in the future.

I cannot tell you how much fun I had this past weekend! It was a "hat trick" as they say in hockey - a triple-play....education, opportunity and enjoyment!! You can't beat that!! I already have two friends who now want to go on future treks because I can't shut up about it!! So, many thanks for everything!!

The Nikon mentors were true professionals and excellent instructors. Each had a genuine love of photography and a sincere desire to share their knowledge and experience with all who attended. The program was so well set up and coordinated that I feel and I saw and photographed every major high light of this great city during this short period of time. Our group was fortunate to have private access to generally restricted areas such as Grand Central Station and "The Top of the Rock" Rockefeller center. To photograph the cityscape from the Top of the Rock at dawn was truly amazing. I will definitely be attending more of the Nikon Mentor Series in the future.

"One can travel by himself to the location of the trek but you will be hard press to have the same photography experience since the treks are great in providing unique settings and models/props. If you are serious about photography, attending a Mentor Series Trek is must."

"I have been on two international and one domestic trek since 2007. These treks are an incredible experience, an I have made many new friends. The mentors have been fantastic, and I have learned a lot. The images from the treks have been among my best. I plan on going on many more treks in the future and would recommend them to anyone who has a desire for photography."
