Ever wonder what it's like to travel to an exotic location with cameras, a knowledgeable local guide, great transportation, photo mentors, other photo enthusiasts? This year's photo trek to Egypt was an unforgettable experience that took adventure tourism to a new level. Over a nine day period, our group visited the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, Cairo, local markets, multiple ancient temples, burial crypts, a Nile cruise and a desert excursion. Imagine a walking tour of ancient Egyptian temples during the day or at night when it's cooler. Enjoy a desert tour in SUVs that will take you to places rarely seen by other tourists. A bedouin dinner is waiting for you in the desert after a sunset you will never forget. The Egyptians are very gracious and thankful to have visitors to teach about their history. There is food everywhere on this trip. You will never be hungry.
The photographic mentors provided guidance and support to help you develop your photography skills. Everyone's skill level improved during the trip. The mentors provided a continuous friendly review of your photos making suggestions along the way. Many participants took thousands of digital photos. Make sure you bring enough memory cards and batteries.
You'll meet fellow photographers on this trip from all walks of life and from many countries. It was hard to say good-bye to friends made on this trip. You'll have plenty of great memories and photos to share with family and friends when you return home. The Mentor Series World Wide Photo Treks helps you remain in contact with your fellow travelers after you arrive home by becoming a member in their alumni group. Traveling to Egypt on a Photo Trek is a wonderful way to learn about a diverse culture, ancient architecture, history and photography. A trip you will never forget. It makes other forms of tourist travel almost seem boring.
